Lived experiences play a powerful role in shaping how people engage with obesity care. This free live webinar from the Obesity Association — a division of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) — explores how peer and individual lived experiences can be meaningfully integrated into obesity care pathways to strengthen communication, build trust, and support person-centered care.
Faculty will examine the value of lived-experience perspectives across clinical, educational, and community settings, highlighting real-world examples of peer involvement and patient storytelling. Participants will also discuss practical approaches for incorporating these perspectives into care delivery to enhance engagement and improve the patient experience.
By participating, learners will gain a deeper understanding of how lived experiences can inform obesity care and identify opportunities to integrate peer and patient voices across the continuum of care.
