The North American Primary Care Research Group (NAPCRG) brings its 54th Annual Meeting to The Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, Ontario, from 20 to 24 November 2026. Billed as the largest primary care research meeting of its kind, the meeting gathers family physicians, primary care researchers, practice-based research network members, educators, students and policymakers from across North America and around the world.
NAPCRG's mission is to grow and nurture the discipline of primary care research, and the Annual Meeting is its flagship gathering. Over five days, attendees can expect more than 600 research sessions spanning the full range of primary care science — from clinical trials and health services research to implementation science, community-engaged research, health equity, practice transformation, digital health and medical education. The programme combines featured plenary speakers with oral presentations, posters, workshops, seminars and thought-provoking discussions, giving early-career researchers and established investigators alike a platform to share their work.
Beyond the scientific sessions, the meeting is known for its collegial atmosphere and its emphasis on networking. Collaborative meetings and affiliate meeting spaces allow research networks, committees and partner organisations to convene alongside the main conference, and participants can build long-term research collaborations with peers from many countries. Attendees can also earn continuing education hours.
A Call for Papers is part of the meeting cycle; researchers should consult the official NAPCRG site for submission categories and current deadlines. Registration and hotel booking at the conference hotel are available through the official website.
The 2026 meeting is supported by conference partners including the Family Physicians Inquiries Network (FPIN) and the DARTNet Institute. NAPCRG has also announced its future meetings: 13–17 November 2027 in Vancouver, British Columbia; 16–20 November 2028 in Portland, Oregon; 15–19 November 2029 (tentative, location TBD); and 14–18 November 2030 in Baltimore, Maryland.
The organisers acknowledge that the meeting takes place on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples. For questions, contact napcrgoffice@napcrg.org.
