The 4th Precision Oncology Saudi Summit (POSS27) convenes 28–30 January 2027 at the King Salman Congress Centre in Madinah. It is organised by King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre – Madinah in strategic collaboration with the Saudi Society for Blood Disorders, and chaired by Dr. Amal Albeihany, Vice President of the Saudi Society for Blood Disorders and Consultant in Adult Haematology & BMT at KFSHRC – Madinah.
The summit is built on a single premise: precision oncology represents a genuine paradigm shift in how cancer is understood, diagnosed and treated. Sessions work through what that shift means in practice — genomic profiling and its interpretation, data analytics applied to treatment selection, targeted and immune-based therapies, and the individualised care pathways that follow from them. Rather than surveying the field abstractly, the programme is oriented toward implementation in Saudi and wider MENA health systems: molecular tumour board workflow, access to testing, turnaround time, cost, and the multidisciplinary coordination required to act on a genomic result.
The audience spans medical, radiation and surgical oncology, haematology and BMT, pathology and molecular diagnostics, clinical pharmacy, genetic counselling and cancer research. National and international faculty present alongside Saudi centres reporting their own experience, which is one of the summit's distinguishing features — the regional data is presented rather than only referenced.
Abstract submission ran to 31 December 2026, and accepted work is presented within the scientific programme. The congress site also carries partnership and sponsorship information, accommodation guidance and a dedicated section on visiting the holy city of Madinah for international delegates.
POSS has grown across its editions into the Kingdom's principal precision-oncology meeting, and the fourth edition is positioned as a milestone for cancer care transformation across the Kingdom and the broader MENA region.
