A Trauma Masterclass Webinar Series from the Orthopaedic Trauma Society (OTS), delivered with the T&O Education Partnership — the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and The Bone & Joint Journal — runs live online across 12 months from 6 January 2027.
In trauma and orthopaedics, it is trauma that always comes first. This webinar series is specifically designed for the transition to independent trauma practice and is aimed at senior trainees and newly appointed consultants. Sessions combine evidence-based updates with practical insights into the assessment and management of the trauma cases seen in day-to-day practice.
The series deliberately goes beyond exam-focused teaching, developing the judgement, confidence and decision-making skills required of a modern trauma consultant. Learning is delivered through interactive, case-based discussions led by nationally recognised experts, who share their clinical reasoning on management options that optimise outcomes, alongside lessons learned across their trauma careers.
Format and schedule
- Opening session: Wednesday 6 January 2027 at 19:45 GMT (UK time)
- 26 one-hour sessions, every other Wednesday at 19:45 UK time, across a full 12 months
- Delivered live via webinar, with interactive polling and live Q&A with the faculty
- Unable to attend live? All registrants receive on-demand access to session recordings after each event
- A CPD/CME certificate is issued electronically following participation

Senior orthopaedic trainees, fellows and newly appointed trauma and orthopaedic consultants who want structured, consultant-level trauma decision-making support during the step up to independent practice. The virtual format makes it accessible to surgeons across the Gulf, wider Middle East and internationally without travel.
