The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Experience 2026 National Conference & Exhibition takes place in San Diego, California, from 2 to 6 October 2026. As the largest annual gathering of pediatricians in the world, the AAP Experience brings together thousands of general pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, residents, nurse practitioners and child-health advocates for five days of education, networking and innovation.
The education program features hundreds of sessions across general pediatrics and every pediatric subspecialty — from newborn and adolescent medicine to infectious diseases, mental and behavioural health, allergy, cardiology, emergency medicine, hospital medicine and practice management. Formats include plenaries, hands-on workshops, case-based seminars and small-group sessions, with sizeable AMA PRA Category 1 credit and MOC opportunities.
This year's keynote speaker is Doctor Mike Varshavski, the physician and digital health communicator known for engaging millions with evidence-based medical information.
Who should attend: pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, residents and medical students, pediatric nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and anyone involved in the health and wellbeing of infants, children, adolescents and young adults.
Highlights include special events and networking under the theme "Make Waves With Us", the AAP Policy Plenary, a large exhibit hall showcasing the latest products and services in child health, and a strong faculty roster drawn from leading US children's hospitals.
Registration, hotels and the full education program are available on the official AAP Experience website.
