Hands-on training course offered by the Central Research Lab (مختبر البحث المركزي), Deanship of Graduate Studies & Scientific Research, King Saud University (KSU). The 2-day workshop runs 22–23 June 2026, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Central Research Lab, Building 13, KSU, Riyadh.
Course Objectives:
• Gain a solid foundation in aseptic techniques and good cell-culture practices.
• Learn to prepare and maintain cell lines.
• Master essential cell-culture techniques such as cell counting, sub-culturing, and cryopreservation.
• Understand and apply cell-culture media preparation and optimization.
• Learn to troubleshoot common cell-culture problems and contamination issues.
• Gain practical experience with basic cell-based assays.
The training will include: thawing, seeding, sub-culturing, cryopreserving, and cell counting.
Targeted audience: undergraduate and post-graduate students, research scientists and technicians, faculty members and post-doctoral researchers, and anyone interested in enhancing their cell-culture skills. Open to both genders. ONLY 10 PLACES AVAILABLE.
Fee: 800 SAR (after completing online registration, send the payment slip / barcode receipt by email).
