The Third Egyptian Cardio-Oncology Conference (ECOC 2026) takes place on 22–23 October 2026 at the Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir, Cairo. It is organised by the Cardio-Oncology Working Group of the Egyptian Society of Cardiology, the International Cardio-Oncology Society (ICOS), and the Cardiology Department of 57357 Children's Cancer Hospital — and marks the first official scientific activity of the newly established ICOS Egypt Chapter.
ECOC 2026 convenes an exceptional faculty of international and regional experts for a comprehensive, forward-looking scientific program. Sessions cover early detection and structured surveillance of cardiotoxicity, advances in multimodality imaging and biomarkers, management of cardiovascular complications associated with immunotherapy, and key developments in pediatric and adolescent cardio-oncology, alongside evolving strategies in cardioprotection and long-term survivorship care. The conference carries 16 CME hours accredited by the Egyptian Fellowship and Training Development Board.
Two dedicated workshops complement the main program: Mechanical Circulatory Support / Hemodynamics, and Mastering CMR in Cardio-Oncology: Practical Insights from the Experts. The full scientific program is available as a downloadable agenda on the conference website.
The conference is led by President Prof. Zeinab Salah and Vice-President Prof. Rasha Ammar, with Honorary Presidents Prof. Mohamed Abdel Ghany, Prof. Sherif Abo El Naga, and Prof. Alaa Hadad. More than a scientific meeting, ECOC 2026 is a platform for collaboration, innovation, and progress — aligning cardio-oncology practice in Egypt and the region with international standards through its partnership with ICOS, the world's leading society dedicated to cardiovascular care in cancer patients.
