Overview
The GIS Annual Conference 2026, organised by the Gulf Interventional Society, takes place 26–28 November 2026 at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, United Arab Emirates, under the theme Leading the Future of Interventional Cardiology.
Building on the success of previous editions, GIS has established itself as one of the region's defining interventional cardiology meetings — a platform where clinical excellence meets innovation, collaboration and future-shaping science. The 2026 edition is positioned as the largest and most in-depth yet, bringing together world-class faculty, high-impact research and hands-on learning in the heart of Dubai.

Call for abstracts
- Submission deadline: 15 August 2026 — late submissions are not considered.
- Notification of acceptance: 10 September 2026.
- Abstract tracks: Cardiology · Interventional Cardiology · Cardiovascular Surgery · Chest Disease · Cardiovascular Medicine.
- Format: title max 10 words; abstract text max 250 words; structure as Background, Objectives, Methods, Results (with data and statistics), Conclusions, plus up to 3 keywords. English only, peer-reviewed, submitted through the online system.
- Accepted abstracts may be assigned to oral presentation, poster presentation, or poster display.
- Awards: the top three case presenters receive award certificates.
- Publication: selected abstracts may be published in a European Heart Journal (EHJ) Supplement.
