From Diagnosis to Prescription — World Endodontic Scientific Day
Thursday, 15 October 2026 · 8:00 PM–11:50 PM KSA time · Live online webinar
Presented in connection with World Endodontic Scientific Day, this focused evening program examines two decisions that frequently arise when treating endodontic infection: how to assess the infection reliably and how to decide whether an antibiotic is appropriate. The Saudi Endodontic Society flyer frames the session as a journey from diagnosis to prescription, with evidence-based management and rational antibiotic selection at its centre. The course is listed for registration by Future Vision Academy.
The program begins with diagnostic assessment and management of endodontic infections before moving to antimicrobial stewardship, current guidance and clinical decision-making. Later sessions consider whether to treat, how anatomical understanding informs instrumentation, and how to connect planning with evidence-based endodontic treatment. A final question-and-answer period gives participants time to revisit the clinical issues raised. The emphasis is on bringing diagnostic reasoning and treatment planning together, rather than treating antibiotic prescribing as an automatic step in every case.
Faculty
Prof. Khalid Balto is the featured speaker. The society flyer identifies him as Professor of Endodontics at King Abdulaziz University and describes postgraduate training in endodontics and oral biology, together with more than 25 years of contributions to education, practice and research. Prof. Abdulaziz S. AbuMelha, Professor of Endodontics at King Khalid University and President of the Saudi Endodontic Society, chairs the webinar and is also named alongside Prof. Balto for the 11:00 PM treatment session on the flyer.
