EHS Parastomal Study Days 2027

The European Hernia Society, in collaboration with the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP), brings the Parastomal Study Days to Lyon after the 2025 Manchester edition. Day one is a full conference day on parastomal hernia prevention, assessment and repair; day two is a hands-on cadaver course in the Lyon anatomy laboratory, limited to EHS members registered for the full package.
The programme covers surgical technique selection and mesh strategies, prevention at index stoma formation, management of recurrence and complex abdominal wall cases, stoma care and appliance-related problems, and patient empowerment and quality-of-life outcomes — with a strong multidisciplinary emphasis involving surgeons, stoma nurses and patients.
Co-chairs: Dominic Slade (United Kingdom) and Guillaume Passot (France), with an international faculty including Benoit Romain and Bob Bloemendaal.

Registration opens end of August 2026 and is administered by CAP Partner (registration@cap-partner.eu). An application has been submitted to the UEMS EACCME® for CME/CPD accreditation. Listed price is an indicative SAR equivalent of the early-bird EHS-member conference fee.
