WISH 2026 — The 8th World Innovation Summit for Health
The World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), an initiative of Qatar Foundation, convenes its 8th edition in Doha on 29–30 November 2026 under the theme “The New Health Span.”
WISH is a global health policy forum that translates evidence into action. Science is “churning out magic day after day” — yet most of it never reaches the patients who need it most, and closing that translation gap anchors the WISH 8 agenda: how health systems absorb breakthroughs in longevity science, precision therapeutics and digital health quickly, safely and equitably.
What WISH delivers
- Evidence-based forum reports produced with global expert panels, launched at the summit
- Plenary and panel sessions with ministers, WHO leadership, academics and frontline clinicians
- The WISH Innovation Showcase, delivered in collaboration with the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council, spotlighting health innovators from around the world
- Continued advocacy on protecting healthcare in conflict, health equity and humanitarian health
Leadership
WISH is chaired by Lord Ara Darzi, Executive Chair, with Dr Slim Slama as CEO and Dr Taskeen Khan as Director of Research and Content. WISH partners with the World Health Organization, the University of Tokyo and other global institutions.
