ISBT Rotterdam 2027, the next international congress of the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT), takes place from 19 to 23 June 2027 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. ISBT congresses are the premier global gatherings for professionals working in blood transfusion, blood banking, cellular therapies and transfusion science.
The ISBT congress programme traditionally covers the full breadth of transfusion medicine: blood donation and donor management, blood component preparation and quality, clinical transfusion practice, haemovigilance, immunohaematology, cellular and gene therapies, transfusion-transmitted infections, and laboratory science. The society's working parties contribute dedicated scientific sessions, and the congress attracts delegates from over 100 countries.
ISBT's corporate partners — including Roche, Abbott, Bio-Rad, Grifols, Macopharma, QuidelOrtho, Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies, Werfen, Cerus, Fresenius Kabi and others — support a large technical exhibition alongside the scientific programme.
Future ISBT congresses have also been announced: ISBT Delhi (27–30 November 2027), ISBT Yokohama (4–8 June 2028), ISBT London (June 2029) and ISBT Muscat (10–13 November 2029) — the latter bringing the congress to the Gulf region.
