36th ISUOG World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology
The International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) brings its flagship annual meeting to ExCeL London, United Kingdom, from 4–7 September 2026. Now in its 36th edition, the ISUOG World Congress is the single most influential global gathering for clinicians, sonographers, scientists and trainees working in obstetric and gynecological imaging. The Congress runs in person and virtually, so delegates who cannot travel to London can still follow the live scientific sessions.
Please note: ISUOG originally planned the 2026 Congress for Dubai. In March 2026 the ISUOG Trustees relocated the meeting to London in response to regional developments in the Middle East. All dates remain unchanged.
Why this Congress matters
For more than three decades the ISUOG World Congress has been the venue where the specialty's practice-changing evidence is first presented — from nuchal translucency screening and first-trimester pre-eclampsia prediction to modern fetal therapy and AI-assisted image interpretation. Well over 2,000 delegates from across Europe, the Gulf, Asia, Africa and the Americas are expected, alongside a substantial industry exhibition featuring the major ultrasound equipment manufacturers.
Scientific program
The program spans four full days across multiple parallel streams, mixing:
- Plenary lectures from leading global figures inside and beyond OBGYN
- Masterclasses — small-group, in-depth sessions led by one or two subject experts
- Workshops — interactive talks, panel discussion and debate with a wider expert faculty
- Oral communication and oral presentation sessions — the highest-scoring submitted abstracts, presented by the authors themselves
- Live scan demonstrations — watch international leaders perform and interpret ultrasound in real time
Topic coverage includes pregnancy complications, genetic disorders, the fetal brain, heart and anatomy, fetal growth, multiple pregnancy, the placenta, ultrasound in the labour ward, fetal therapy and intervention, early pregnancy, diagnosis of ovarian masses, pelvic pain and endometriosis, fertility workup and fertility preservation, bleeding and endometrial/myometrial pathology, imaging in gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, acute gynecology, and artificial intelligence.
Because of the venue relocation, ISUOG will not run pre-Congress courses in 2026.
Accreditation
The scientific program is accredited by EACCME® for a maximum of 21.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s) and by Sonography Canada for up to 21.5 CPD credits, for in-person attendance. Delegates who attend and complete the post-event evaluation survey receive a certificate of attendance.
Registration
Standard fees apply from 7 July to 3 September 2026; onsite fees apply from 4 September. Indicative in-person standard rates: ISUOG member (high-income country) £891, member trainee/sonographer £695, member from middle-income or low-resource countries £580; non-member (high-income) £1,045, non-member trainee/sonographer £772, non-member middle-income/low-resource £657. A late onsite fee of £1,160 applies to all categories from 4 September. Virtual attendance is considerably cheaper, starting at £116 for members from low-resource countries. Optional add-ons include a Congress party ticket (£125) and a printed book of abstracts (£60).
Registration includes access to all scientific and industry sessions, the exhibition, a welcome reception drink, and Wordly AI live translation of scientific sessions into 60 languages via the Congress app.
Abstracts
Abstract submission for 2026 closed on 30 March 2026, with the presenting-author registration deadline on 30 April 2026. All accepted abstracts must be presented in person — there are no virtual or pre-recorded abstract presentations this year.
Venue and travel
ExCeL London sits in the Royal Docks in east London, directly served by the Elizabeth Line and DLR, roughly 15 minutes from Canary Wharf and under 10 minutes from London City Airport — a convenient hub for delegates travelling from the Gulf, Europe and further afield.
