Matching into Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS) is one of the most competitive pathways in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) residency match. This panel gives senior medical students and interns a transparent, practical roadmap for the process — told by three residents who matched into PRS this year, each through a different but successful journey.
The panelists will share candid insights on:
- Building a competitive CV: research, publications, electives and extracurriculars
- Choosing and securing plastic surgery electives and rotations
- SMLE and SCFHS matching requirements and timelines
- Letters of recommendation, personal statements and interviews
- How each training program (MNGHA, KSMC and KFSH&RC) differs, and what they look for
- Mistakes to avoid and lessons learned from a first-hand, recent match
