3rd European Arab Medical Congress (EAMC 2026)

The 3rd European Arab Medical Congress (EAMC 2026) convenes 11–13 December 2026 at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center under the theme "Advancing Mental Health and Rehabilitation for Sustainable Wellbeing", in full alignment with the UAE's Year of Family and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Hosted by the Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies in partnership with the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, and in collaboration with the European Medical Association (EMA), Emirates Medical Association, Emirates Cancer Society and the Abu Dhabi Convention & Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB), EAMC continues a four-decade legacy of transcontinental medical dialogue that began in Cologne in 1984 and has since convened across Paris, Berlin, London, Rome, Madrid, Istanbul, Dublin and Dubai.
Three days, one shared mission. Delegates from Europe, the Arab world and the wider MENA region will explore three connected ideas: Sustainable Minds (mental health built on prevention, early intervention and lifelong resilience), Resilient Families (the family as the first system of care) and Sustainable Wellbeing (health systems designed for the long term — inclusive, technology-enabled and ethically grounded).
Eight peer-reviewed scientific tracks anchor the programme:
- Psychiatry & Clinical Psychology (CBT/DBT, mood, anxiety, PTSD)
- Rehabilitation Medicine (post-stroke, SCI, chronic pain)
- Neurology & Neuropsychology (neuroplasticity, MS, Parkinson's, TBI)
- Therapeutic Technologies (VR, robotics, tele-rehab, AI, wearables)
- Special Populations (paediatric, geriatric, People of Determination)
- Health Policy, Ethics & Public Health
- Oncology & Cancer Rehabilitation (survivorship, psycho-oncology, palliative care)
- Family-Centred & Integrative Care (caregiver wellbeing, resilience)
Accepted abstracts are published with an ISBN, and full papers are eligible for double-blind peer review and DOI publication in the Congress proceedings and partner journals.
Speakers of distinction include H.E. Dr. Abdulla Bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi (Chancellor, Emirates Scholar), H.E. Dr. Abdulla Al Humaidan (Zayed Authority for People of Determination), H.E. Sarah El Haïry (High Commissioner for Childhood, France), Prof. Vincenzo Costigliola (Founder & President, European Medical Association), H.E. Sheikha Dr. Noura Al Qasimi (President, Emirates Medical Association), Prof. Guglielmo M. Trovato (EMA), Prof. Francesca Rubulotta (Policlinico Catania) and H.E. Dr. Jassim Haji (HH Shaikh Nasser AI Research & Development Centre), with the full faculty released progressively ahead of the Congress.
Beyond the science, EAMC 2026 features a "Crafted with Determination" marketplace, an Inclusive Employment Corner, an Assistive Technology Showcase and a Lived-Experience Voices programme placing People of Determination at the centre of the conversation.
Registration is FREE for Listener/Visitor and Student passes (subject to capacity). Optional paid packages — All Access + CME (USD 220) and Delegate + CME (USD 300) — add DOH-approved CME accreditation, session materials and premium experiences. The Congress expects 1,500+ delegates across the three days.
