Public Health 2027 (PH27) is the Canadian Public Health Association's national conference, bringing together public health professionals, researchers, policy-makers, academics, students and trainees to strengthen efforts to improve population health and well-being, share the latest research, promote best practices, and advocate for evidence-informed public health policies.
Hosted at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver on the unceded and ancestral territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
Who should attend: academics & researchers, students/trainees, policy-makers, administrators, health promotion workers, front-line public health staff, media, and anyone working across urban, rural, remote or small communities with an interest in public health.
Conference objectives:
- Profile action-oriented best practices and evidence-informed interventions from domestic and global settings.
- Support forward thinking, reflection and critical dialogue to prepare public health for future challenges.
- Enable sharing of innovative ideas and approaches across practice, policy and research.
- Provide multisectoral knowledge exchange and networking across Canada and internationally.
- Offer a venue for public health professionals at all career stages to collaborate and shape Canadians' health and well-being.
Learning objectives: articulate the current status of public health evidence, research, policy and practice; identify public health challenges, solutions, trends, emerging issues and gaps.
