Despite significant advances in LDL-cholesterol lowering therapies, many patients continue to experience residual cardiovascular risk driven by elevated triglycerides and remnant cholesterol. This 60-minute CardioCore webinar, featuring Dr. Michael Miller (UPenn) and Dr. Alison Bailey (WVU), will explore the evolving science behind triglyceride-rich lipoproteins and remnant cholesterol, their roles in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and pancreatitis risk, and the latest guideline recommendations for the identification and management of hypertriglyceridemia.

Additionally, the session reviews emerging clinical trial data and therapeutic innovations targeting apoC-III — including icosapent ethyl, olezarsen, and plozasiran — and their potential to reduce triglyceride burden, address residual risk, and reshape the future of lipid management.
