About this event

Two-day course providing an eye-opening overview of Sports Dentistry and raising awareness of its importance in athlete health, injury prevention, and preventive dental care within the Saudi Arabian sports context. By the end of the course, participants will be able to: define Sports Dentistry and explain its scope and relevance; recognize common sports-related dental and orofacial risks; understand the preventive role of mouthguards in contact sports; observe the clinical workflow of custom mouthguard construction; conduct basic, non-invasive athlete oral screening; appreciate interdisciplinary collaboration between dentistry and sports sciences; and identify future educational and career opportunities in Sports Dentistry.

Target audience: dental interns, senior dental students, interested faculty members, and observers from sports and health-related disciplines.
