    About this event

World Diabetes Day 2026 is marked across Saudi Arabia on Saturday, 14 November 2026 under the banner "Know Diabetes. Change Lives.", hosted at Ministry of Health Diabetes Centers and organised with GloMarQ Events & Research.

Saudi Arabia carries one of the highest diabetes burdens in the world, and the national World Diabetes Day programme exists to turn that statistic into action — earlier detection, better-controlled patients, and a healthcare workforce that is confident across the full spectrum of diabetes care. The day brings together endocrinologists, diabetologists, family physicians, internists, diabetes educators, nurses, clinical pharmacists, dietitians and allied staff from MOH diabetes centres for a shared scientific and awareness programme.

    What to expect

Activities at participating diabetes centres typically combine a scientific session track with public-facing awareness and screening activity — practical updates on glycaemic targets and treatment intensification, insulin initiation and titration, continuous glucose monitoring, prevention and management of diabetic foot, retinopathy and nephropathy screening pathways, and the behavioural and nutritional side of long-term diabetes control. The emphasis is on things that change practice the next working day, not theory.

    Who should attend

Endocrinologists and diabetologists, family and internal medicine physicians, diabetes nurse educators, clinical pharmacists, dietitians and nutritionists, podiatry and diabetic-foot teams, primary healthcare staff and residents in training. Registration is open to healthcare practitioners across the Kingdom; the registration form asks for your residence city, specialty and SCFHS classification number so attendance can be recorded and credited.

    Registration

Registration is handled through the official GloMarQ registration portal linked on this page. Complete the form accurately — the organisers confirm places from the submitted details, and the SCFHS number must be entered correctly for the activity to be recorded against your professional record.

Use #WorldDiabetesDay to follow the national conversation, and check the registration portal for your nearest participating Diabetes Center.
