The Saudi Liver Meeting (SLM) 2026 is the flagship annual conference of the Saudi Society for the Study of Liver Disease and Transplantation (SASLT), taking place 8–10 October 2026 in Riyadh. SLM is the premier gathering for hepatologists, gastroenterologists, transplant surgeons, hepatology nurses, pharmacists, and trainees across Saudi Arabia and the wider region — bringing together national and international experts to advance clinical care, research, and education in liver disease.
The three-day program covers the full spectrum of hepatology: viral hepatitis (HBV, HCV, HDV), MASLD/MASH and metabolic liver disease, alcohol-associated liver disease, autoimmune and cholestatic liver diseases, portal hypertension and decompensated cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma and liver-directed therapies, liver transplantation (adult and pediatric), and acute liver failure. Sessions blend keynote lectures, interactive case discussions, debates, and abstract presentations from Saudi and international centres.

Four dedicated courses run the day before the main meeting and can be booked separately or alongside the conference:

Signature Activities
- Hepatology Jeopardy — team competition for hepatology and GI residents/fellows (teams of two from the same hospital/program).
- Abstract & Poster Sessions — original research from Saudi and regional centres.
- Meet-the-Expert roundtables with visiting international faculty.
