About the forum
The 2nd Health Forum for Wound Care (WCF 2026) brings together leading clinicians, researchers, nurses and allied health professionals from across Saudi Arabia, the GCC and internationally to share the latest evidence-based practice in wound care management. Held under the supervision of the Wound Care Advisory Committee at the Saudi Ministry of Health, in partnership with the Diabetic Foot Association (DFA) and organised by GloMarQ Events & Research, the forum builds on the success of its first edition with a substantially expanded scientific programme.
Over three days, more than 56 regional and international faculty deliver keynote lectures, focused scientific sessions, hands-on workshops and interactive panel discussions covering the full spectrum of modern wound care — from wound bed preparation and biofilm management to diabetic foot limb preservation, pressure injury prevention, endocrine and vascular contributors to delayed healing, and the emerging role of artificial intelligence in wound assessment.
Day 1 is dedicated entirely to pre-conference workshops running in four parallel rooms with limited seats: debridement masterclasses, advanced NPWT/VAC therapy, plasma technology, topical oxygen therapy, microcurrent stimulation for diabetic foot ulcers, dressing selection, stoma siting, train-the-trainer education, and pressure injury prevention teams.
Days 2 and 3 move to the main hall for the scientific programme. Day 2 opens with the keynote block "The Next Decade of Wound Care: Challenges, Opportunities and Solutions", followed by tracks on chronic and surgical wounds, diabetic foot amputation prevention, and pressure injury prevention beyond traditional practice. Day 3 focuses on endocrinology and vascular assessment, wound care education and quality improvement, innovations and smart healing technologies, and quality indicators in home-based wound care — closing with an awards ceremony.
