Under the banner "Join the Conversation. Shape the Future.", this two-day scientific meeting brings the obesity and metabolic surgery community together at the Sofitel Al Khobar on 26–27 September 2026, with 13 CME hours accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. It is organised by GloMarQ for Events and Research in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
Why this meeting
Obesity is now one of the defining health challenges in the Kingdom, and its management sits at the intersection of several disciplines: endocrinology, family medicine, gastroenterology, bariatric and general surgery, nutrition, nursing and pharmacy. The programme is built around the latest evidence and the multidisciplinary approaches shaping the future of obesity management and bariatric care, combining scientific sessions with hands-on workshop content on surgical and endoscopic techniques.
Scope
Expect coverage across the full obesity care pathway:
- Medical weight management, including incretin-based and GLP-1 therapies
- Patient selection, pre-operative assessment and metabolic work-up
- Bariatric surgical techniques, outcomes and complication management
- Therapeutic and bariatric endoscopy, including endoscopic management of post-surgical complications and revisional cases
- Nutrition, long-term follow-up and multidisciplinary team care

Bariatric and general surgeons, gastroenterologists and endoscopists, endocrinologists, internal medicine and family medicine physicians, dietitians and clinical nutrition specialists, bariatric nurses, pharmacists, and residents or trainees working in obesity and metabolic care. Registration is open to healthcare professionals across specialties, and the organiser's form collects SCFHS classification details for CME credit assignment.
