The School of Nursing and Midwifery at RCSI Medical University of Bahrain celebrates its 20th anniversary with a dedicated conference in Bahrain on 31 March 2027, under the theme "20 Years of Excellence and Innovation in Nursing Education: Celebrating the School of Nursing and Midwifery Legacy and Shaping the Future".
Held under the leadership of Professor Kathryn Strachan, Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, the conference marks two decades of nursing and midwifery education at RCSI Bahrain and looks ahead to the future of the professions in the Gulf region and internationally. The event brings together nursing and midwifery educators, clinicians, researchers, students and alumni for a day of scientific sessions, reflection and celebration.
The conference is organised by dedicated steering, scientific, logistics and communications committees drawn from the school's faculty and staff, chaired by Dr Eman Fateel (Steering) and Professor Husain Nasaif (Scientific), ensuring a programme that reflects both academic rigour and the school's community spirit.
