Aseer Ophthalmologists Forum 2026 is a one-evening scientific meeting hosted under the auspices of the Saudi Ophthalmology Society (SOS), bringing together ophthalmologists, residents, and allied eye-care professionals from the Aseer region and across Saudi Arabia.
Held on Wednesday, 10 June 2026 at Citadines Hotel, Abha, the forum offers 6 CME hours accredited by SCFHS and covers the most clinically relevant subspecialties in modern ophthalmology through three dedicated sessions:
- Cataract & Glaucoma Session (7:00 – 7:35 PM) — challenging phaco cases, Vyzulta and new medical eras in glaucoma, and long-term outcomes of cyclophotocoagulation in refractory pediatric glaucoma.
- Cornea & Refractive Session (7:40 – 8:30 PM) — topoguided PRK in special cases, herpetic keratitis from clinical clues to practical management, and a systematic review of Descemet stripping only for Fuchs endothelial dystrophy.
- Retina & Closing Session (8:45 – 9:15 PM) — practical pearls for safer intravitreal injections and a case report on penetrating globe injury following periocular hyaluronic acid filler injection.
The evening concludes with an honor and lucky number ceremony and a networking dinner. Registration opens on-site from 6:30 – 7:00 PM.
Who should attend: consultant ophthalmologists, fellows, residents, optometrists, and ophthalmic nurses interested in cataract, glaucoma, cornea, refractive surgery, and medical/surgical retina.
