CHILDEX: Origins is the inaugural edition of the Child Health Innovation, Leadership, Development & Excellence eXchange, organized by King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital (KFAFH) in Jeddah under the Health Services Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. The main conference runs 27–29 October 2026 at Hilton Jeddah, preceded by two days of pre-conference workshops on 25–26 October 2026. The full programme is accredited for 56 CME hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
Positioned as a national and regional leader in advancing child health, CHILDEX brings Saudi and international faculty together under one vision: building the future of child health in the Kingdom, one project at a time. Speakers are not only presenting research — they are launching national databases, unveiling genomic programmes, showcasing innovations and presenting blueprints for paediatric care aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. Every letter of the name carries meaning: Child at the centre, Health in its broadest sense, Innovation, Leadership, Development of child and nation, Excellence, and eXchange of knowledge.
Conference objectives: advance precision medicine, foster international collaboration, showcase innovation, launch national projects, develop future leaders and build a paediatric research network.
Target audience: general pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, neonatologists, nurses and allied health professionals, healthcare leaders, residents and fellows, researchers and academics, and international faculty.

• Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) – 4 sessions, Dr. Sameh Ismaiel: cardiac, lung/pleural, abdominal and vascular-access scanning in critically ill neonates and children, with simulation.
• Neonatal & Pediatric Ventilation Course – Dr. Ahmed Dohain & Dr. Mohammed Abdulmawla: respiratory physiology, NIV (HFNC, NCPAP, NIPPV), invasive modes, cardiac and neonatal strategies, HFOV, dyssynchrony, plus hands-on stations.
• Child Protection – Prof. Majid Alessa.
• EEG Masterclass – Dr. Ali Al-Otaibi: normal patterns by age, artifacts, neonatal seizures, status epilepticus and aEEG in the NICU.
• ResearchFlow: AI-Powered Research Writing Bootcamp – Prof. Waleed Alhazzani.
• Crash Course in Pediatric Radiology – Dr. Lina Alqublan.
