Medicines Management 2026 (MM2026) — "Limitless"
Medicines Management 2026 (MM2026) is Australia's largest scientific pharmacy conference, hosted by Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from Thursday 22 to Saturday 24 October 2026. This edition is a landmark one: it marks the 50th occasion of Medicines Management, half a century of a national forum that has shaped hospital and health-service pharmacy practice across Australia.
The 2026 theme, Limitless, captures the conference's ambition — the moment where ideas break boundaries and innovation, collaboration and practice come together to unlock the full potential of pharmacy. Over three days, pharmacy leaders, researchers, clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, interns and students from every state and territory gather to share research, debate practice change and build the professional networks that carry the sector forward.
Program highlights
The scientific program is curated by the MM2026 Scientific Program Committee and runs across Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October, with pre-conference sessions on Thursday 22 October. Content is delivered through plenaries, six parallel contributed-paper streams, workshops, "conversations" sessions, breakfast workshops and a large poster exhibition.
Day one opens with a Welcome to Country, the AdPha President's address, a Ministerial address, the Fred J Boyd Award presentation and oration, and the opening keynote. Contributed-paper streams (C1–C6) cover digital health and electronic prescribing, mental health and neurology pharmacy, oncology and infusion services, virtual and hospital-at-home models, research education and micro-credentialling, and regional workforce design. The Resident of the Year competition runs alongside the streams.

Speakers
Keynote speakers include Dr Gemma Munro (performance psychologist, leadership coach and founder of Inkling Women), Barry Du Bois (television presenter, R U OK? board director and Leukaemia Foundation ambassador speaking on resilience and lived experience of myeloma), and Elizabeth Doran (the first pharmacist to join the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Queensland). Plenary speakers include The Hon. Emma McBride MP, Assistant Minister for Mental Health & Suicide Prevention and Assistant Minister for Rural & Regional Health, and Senator the Hon. Anne Ruston, Shadow Minister for Health and Aged Care. Invited speakers span psychiatry, infectious diseases, diabetes education, co-design and pharmacy technician workforce development.
Abstracts and registration
Abstract submissions were invited in three categories — Original research, Pharmacy practice and Case reports — and closed on 9 June 2026, with notifications from 9 July. Presenter guidance for contributed papers and posters is published on the conference site.
Early bird registration closes 11:59pm AEST Wednesday 9 September 2026. Rates (AUD, incl. GST): AdPha member $1,445 early bird / $1,645 standard; non-member $1,945 / $2,145; technician or intern $660 (member) and $890 (non-member). Full registration includes the main program Friday–Saturday, all catering, workshops and conversations, plus tickets to the Welcome Reception and the Gala Dinner. Day registrations for Friday or Saturday only are also available, and free AdPha student membership unlocks a discounted student rate.
