    About this event

KSAU-HS and the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, in collaboration with the MNGHA Infection Prevention and Control Program, are offering the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Specialized Professional Certificate — a practical, competency-based programme for safer, healthier workplaces.

Schedule: 10 November 2026 – 4 February 2027, Tuesday to Thursday, 2:00–5:00 PM, delivered in person at KSAU-HS, Riyadh. The flyer describes the programme as 120 part-time contact hours across 10 modules, including applied work.

Why this program? Effective occupational health and safety practice requires both foundational knowledge and practical skills. The programme enables health professionals to identify, assess and control workplace hazards, and to support evidence-based OHS practice. It combines internationally recognised OHS principles with the regulations and reporting requirements that apply in Saudi Arabia.

    What you will gain:

    • Hands-on skills in risk assessment, hazard control, PPE selection, exposure management and incident investigation
    • A Saudi regulatory focus: OHS laws, reporting requirements and fitness-for-work standards

Curriculum — ten modules from foundations to practice, including:

    • Foundations of OHS and Risk Management (hazard identification, risk assessment, hierarchy of controls, safety culture)
    • Occupational Hazards and Control Measures (physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic and mechanical hazards; PPE)
    • Psychosocial Risk Management and Worker Well-being (stress and burnout, workplace violence, shift work and fatigue)
    • Occupational Diseases and Injury Prevention (occupational lung disease, occupational cancer, skin and musculoskeletal disorders)
    • OHS Program Administration and Leadership (planning and governance, quality improvement, safety indicators)

Assessment includes module quizzes and knowledge checks leading to certification.

Accreditation: the organiser states the programme is accredited by SCFHS; the number of CME hours was not published, so no credit count is shown here.

Fees were not stated in the announcement. Register via events.ksau-hs.edu.sa.
