    STS 2026 International Conference

    The Saudi Thoracic Society (STS) holds its International Conference 3–7 November 2026 at the JW Marriott Hotel, Riyadh, under the theme "Innovate, Illuminate and Influence." The meeting carries 27 CME hours and, for the first time, runs across five full days in collaboration with the American Thoracic Society (ATS) — an expanded format reflecting a richer, more comprehensive scientific experience.

    Welcome from the Chairman

    Prof. Esam H. Alhamad, MD, FACP, Chairman of STS 2026, describes a rigorous and highly interactive scientific programme designed to support learning, collaboration and clinical excellence across pulmonary medicine.

    Programme highlights

    • Nurses and Respiratory Therapists Empowerment Hub — focused education across key respiratory disciplines
    • Hands-on workshops and simulation sessions, including a dedicated Interventional Pulmonology workshop (limited capacity, separate registration)

    Fees include access to all scientific sessions, the industrial exhibition, workshops covered by the selected pass, and hands-on simulation sessions as listed. Registration is non-refundable except if the organisers cancel; badges are personal and non-transferable.

    Call for abstracts

    • Free submission; categories are Pulmonary Medicine and Case Report
    • Original research and case reports/series only — not previously published or presented at a major national/international meeting
    • 350–400 words, structured (title, authors/institutions, introduction/objective, methods, results, conclusions; case reports use introduction, case description, discussion)
    • All accepted abstracts are presented orally with PowerPoint — no virtual presentations
    • Presenting authors must register and attend in person; up to three abstracts per presenting author
    • Abstract awards are offered; guidelines, oral-presentation instructions and a PowerPoint template are published on the conference site
