    About this event

    Overview

    Qatar Health Congress 2026 runs 11–14 November 2026 at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, delivering a comprehensive scientific and educational experience in emergency and trauma surgery. The programme pairs a three-day main conference across four theme-specific tracks with two days of pre-conference workshops and courses, all delivered in person.

    More than 2,000 healthcare and public health professionals from Qatar, the Gulf and worldwide are expected, with over 200 global, regional and local experts presenting. The congress is organised with the World Society of Emergency Surgery (WSES), the World Congress of Trauma and Emergency Leagues (WCTEL), the Eastern Mediterranean Trauma Round Table (EMTRT), WHO-EMRO and ATLS MENA Region 17.

    Sessions cover critical care, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, peri-operative medicine, pre-hospital care, trauma nursing, quality improvement, clinical research, medical education and artificial intelligence.

    Call for abstracts

    • Submission opened: 15 April 2026
    • Deadline: 15 September 2026, 11:59 PM Qatar time
    • Notification of acceptance: 25 September 2026
    • Submit to qhc2026@hamad.qa using the official abstract submission template
    • Accepted abstracts will be published in JEMTAC or QMJ (TBA)
    • The committee will nominate the best five abstracts at the closing ceremony, plus two special awards for the best abstracts in trauma surgery and vascular surgery
    • A separate Call for Surgical Video Presentation is also open

    Who can submit

    Medical students, nurses, EMS personnel, technicians and physicians — national and international participants are all eligible.
