    About this event

Aspetar Orthopaedic Masterclass: Live Surgery and Multidisciplinary Insights

Saturday, 19 September 2026 · 08:00–16:00 (AST) · Aspetar Auditorium, Aspire Zone, Doha — and online via Microsoft Teams

Aspetar, the Middle East''s flagship orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital and a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence, opens the doors of its Sports Surgery Training Centre (SSTC) for a full day of real-time cadaveric live surgery, transmitted directly into the Aspetar Auditorium and to a remote audience on Microsoft Teams. This is a rare chance to watch internationally recognised surgeons operate while narrating their thinking — and to interrupt them with questions as they work.

The format is deliberately multidisciplinary. Each block pairs an operating surgeon with a moderator, a short evidence-update lecture, a five-minute fellow-led case presentation, and a physiotherapist''s return-to-play perspective, before opening 25 minutes for open discussion. The result is a complete arc around every procedure: how the patient was assessed, why this operation was chosen, how the key steps are executed, what can go wrong intraoperatively, and how rehabilitation is structured afterwards.
