The 35th Malaysian Urological Conference (MUC 2026) is held from 19 to 21 November 2026 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, organised by the Malaysian Urological Association.
The conference follows a three-part structure. A pre-congress workshop runs on 19 November, the main conference occupies 20 and 21 November, and a dedicated Urology Nursing Symposium is held on 20 November — a deliberate inclusion that brings urology nursing staff into the same venue and shared sessions as the surgical programme.
The scientific content covers the full range of contemporary urological practice. Uro-oncology sessions address prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancer, with attention to multidisciplinary decision-making, active surveillance protocols and systemic therapy alongside surgery. Endourology and stone disease feature strongly, covering ureteroscopy, PCNL technique, laser lithotripsy and metabolic stone prevention. Further sessions address functional urology and incontinence, neuro-urology, benign prostatic obstruction and its surgical options, andrology and male infertility, paediatric urology, reconstructive urology, renal transplantation, and the expanding role of robotic and laparoscopic surgery in Malaysian centres.
The pre-congress workshop is hands-on and capacity-limited, typically covering endourological or laparoscopic technique with invited international faculty, and is one of the main draws for trainees.
Abstract submission is open with a deadline of 1 September 2026, and accepted work is presented in oral and poster sessions during the main conference days. Early-bird registration closes on 1 November 2026.
Registration, the detailed programme, faculty listings and venue information are published on the official MUC 2026 website. The Malaysian Urological Association administers the meeting from its Kuala Lumpur office, and the conference remains the primary annual gathering for urologists, trainees and urology nursing staff in Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian region.
