The Continuing Professional Development Department of the Deanship of Postgraduate Education, KSAU-HS (Riyadh), in collaboration with the Department of Anesthesia at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (MNGHA), is running a one-day Adult Moderate Sedation and Analgesia Course on Tuesday, 8 December 2026, from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM.
Moderate (conscious) sedation is used every day outside the operating theatre — in endoscopy suites, interventional radiology, emergency departments, dental clinics and procedure rooms. Delivering it safely requires a clear understanding of pharmacology, patient selection, monitoring, airway rescue and recovery criteria. This course is designed to give non-anesthesiologist physicians, dentists and nurses who administer or monitor adult sedation the structured knowledge and practical competence required to do so safely.
The course is listed by the organiser as mandatory training to meet CBAHI (Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions) requirements, making it particularly relevant to clinicians whose departments are preparing for or maintaining accreditation.
Prerequisite: participants must hold valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
Venue: Deanship of Postgraduate Education Building, KSAU-HS, Riyadh.
Registration fee: SAR 300. Registration and payment are completed online through the KSAU-HS events portal (events.ksau-hs.edu.sa).
