The 23rd Emirates Critical Care Conference (ECCC 2027) takes place on 7–9 May 2027 at the Event Centre, InterContinental Dubai Festival City, Dubai, UAE, under the theme "From Evidence to Excellence: The Future of Critical Care."
A regional flagship for intensive care
Now in its 23rd year, ECCC is one of the Middle East's longest-running critical care meetings. It brings together intensivists, emergency physicians, anaesthetists, neurocritical care specialists and critical care nurses for three days of conference sessions, workshops and courses. The 2026 edition (8–10 May 2026) drew a large regional and international faculty, and the organisers promise to build on that for 2027.
Programme structure
ECCC is organised through dedicated committees and sections, reflecting the breadth of the programme:
- Adult critical care / ICU medicine — sepsis, resuscitation, ventilation, haemodynamics, organ support
- Emergency medicine (ER Section) — the interface between the emergency department and the ICU
- Neurocritical care (NCS) — brain injury, stroke and neuro-monitoring
- Critical care nursing — a dedicated nursing programme
- Hands-on pre-conference workshops and courses
Faculty
Past welcome messages have come from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hussain Al Rahma (conference president), Dr. Javier Perez-Fernandez, Ms. Kathleen Vollman and Dr. David Greer, reflecting the meeting's links with international critical care societies, including the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care (WFICC) and the Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Society.
