Clinical updates in diabetes, endocrinology, obesity and longevity
KIDEO Conference 2027 — King’s Clinical Update on Diabetes, Endocrinology, Obesity & Longevity is a one-day, in-person conference on 16 January 2027 at Sofitel Dubai Downtown, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Organised by King’s College Hospital London–Dubai and KIDEO in collaboration with the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD-UK), it brings UK and regional clinical perspectives to the care of people with endocrine and metabolic conditions. MENA Conference manages the event.
The published scientific programme runs from 08:00 to 17:00 GST (UTC+4), beginning with registration and welcome coffee. Keynotes examine glucagon activation and energy expenditure in weight loss, followed by oral peptide approaches to diabetes and weight management. Clinical updates explore developments in diabetes, gestational diabetes and pregnancy outcomes, continuous glucose monitoring and diabetes management during Ramadan.
Afternoon sessions consider cardiovascular protection in diabetes, lipid-lowering approaches, high blood pressure, renal protection and dual approaches to obesity and type 2 diabetes. The final session turns to diabetes classification, automated insulin delivery, teplizumab in type 1 diabetes, vitamin D, peptide biology and thyroid-function-test interpretation. These are the organiser’s session topics, not treatment recommendations. Panel discussions, networking breaks and poster viewing are included in the timetable.
Conference chair Dr Jawad Bashir and co-chair Dr Emran Ghaffar Khan are joined by Dr Mohammad Sadiq Jeeyavudeen, Dr Hammad Bajwa, Dr Aaisha Saqib, Dr Dipesh C Patel, Dr Alistair Lumb, Dr Momin Kamal Shah, Dr Sakina Koubeh and Dr Muhammad Owais Murtaza. Their published roles and affiliations are attached to the faculty profiles. The meeting is relevant to endocrinologists, diabetologists, physicians, general practitioners, nurses, diabetes educators and other professionals involved in metabolic care.
Registration fees are in AED, with 5% VAT additional. Early-bird rates through 30 November 2026 are AED 600 for doctors, AED 400 for nurses/other healthcare professionals and AED 200 for residents/students. Regular rates are AED 750, AED 500 and AED 300 respectively. The qualified starting fee is the residents/students early-bird rate, not a doctor ticket.
Poster abstracts close 20 November 2026 at 23:59 UAE/GST, with notification scheduled for 5 December. The submission rules permit a maximum of two abstracts. No named workshop is published; generic workshop wording in booking terms does not establish an additional course.
Accreditation is still in process, so no approved CME hours or accrediting body are claimed. No confirmed sponsor list is published. Cancellation wording differs between the homepage and registration terms—one week versus two weeks—so attendees should clarify the applicable policy with MENA Conference before payment.
