The International Infection Prevention & Control Conference returns for its sixth edition under the theme "Transforming Infection Prevention: Innovation, Resilience and Sustainable Healthcare Safety." Hosted by the Ministry of Defense Health Services, organised by Maarefah Management and delivered in collaboration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, the annual meeting has grown into one of the region's leading platforms for infection prevention, patient safety and global health security.
The conference is presided over by Dr. Khaled Alabdulkareem, CEO of Health Services, who describes it as a place for healthcare professionals, researchers and policymakers to share knowledge, best practice and new science. The 2025 edition drew more than 438 delegates, 37 speakers, 52 abstracts and 9 sponsors and exhibitors.
Scientific programme
The two-day programme combines keynote lectures, panel discussions, case studies, meet-the-expert sessions and hands-on workshops. It focuses on reducing healthcare-associated infections, strengthening surveillance systems and implementing high-impact IPC measures in hospitals and public health settings.
