The Longevity World Forum is one of Europe's most important congresses on medical longevity and healthy ageing, and its fifth edition moves to Madrid for three days at La Nave, the city's innovation venue. The organisers note the choice deliberately: Madrid has the longest life expectancy of any capital in the European Union.
The 2027 edition is structured as three thematic days covering the three pillars the Forum works from — science, trends and entrepreneurship. Across them the programme spans medical longevity, genetics and genomics, prevention, technology and diagnostics, industry and investment, and the social impact of longer lives. A dedicated Startup Day gives early-stage longevity companies a platform alongside the scientific sessions, and the congress is streamed for delegates who cannot travel.
The speaker tradition is strong. Recent editions have featured Jose Vina (Professor of Physiology, University of Valencia), Felipe Sierra (Chief Scientific Officer, Hevolution Foundation), Nir Barzilai (Director of the Institute for Aging Research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and President of the Academy for Health and Longevity Research), Luigi Ferrucci (Chief Scientist, US National Institute on Aging), Leslie Kenny (Oxford Healthspan), Nina Khera (Harvard) and Marcos Vazquez. The 2027 faculty is announced progressively on the Forum's speakers page.
The presence of Hevolution Foundation leadership in the faculty is notable for Gulf healthcare professionals: Hevolution is Saudi Arabia's dedicated funder of healthy-ageing research, which makes this congress one of the closer European touchpoints for the regional ageing-research agenda.
The Forum runs in both Spanish and English with official hotel arrangements available at NH properties in Madrid at negotiated rates for delegates. Registration is open through the congress site with ticket tiers for in-person and streaming access, and the detailed programme is published ahead of the event. Confirm session languages, streaming access and accreditation with the organisers before booking.
