SINMAC 2026, the 12th SEHA International Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Conference, takes place on 23–25 October 2026 at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers. Organised by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), part of PureHealth, SINMAC has become one of the region's flagship meetings for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals, bringing together clinicians, educators, leaders and researchers from across the UAE, the wider region and internationally.
This year's theme is "Transforming Family Health Beyond Borders Through Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Excellence." It frames families as the foundation of healthy communities and asks delegates to look beyond traditional clinical settings: integrating care across systems, cultures and borders, and building sustainable, family-centred models that respond to changing population needs. The organisers expect more than a thousand participants.
Alongside the main conference, SINMAC hosts several dedicated symposia, each with its own chair:
- Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Symposium – chaired by Hanan Farag Rashed, focusing on emerging infectious threats, antimicrobial resistance and IPC as a cornerstone of safe, sustainable care.
- SENSE Symposium 2026 – the 2nd SEHA National Symposium on Clinical Informatics, Professional Development & Innovation, chaired by Iman Yassin Othman.
- National Diabetes Symposium – chaired by Suhad Issa Marjei.
- 2nd International SEHA Case Management Symposium ("Empowering Self-Care, Optimizing Outcomes"), held on Saturday 24 October and chaired by Mustafa Mutlaq Abdellatif Hussein.
Pre-conference workshops are also listed on the official site.
Key people include Conference President Muayyad Mohammad Hussein (Corporate Chief Nursing Officer, SEHA Corporate Nursing and Midwifery) and Scientific Committee Chair Mahmoud Hassan. Faculty and committee members listed by the organiser include Dr. Marie Kim James (Director of Nursing, nephrology services, UAE), Dr. Yousef Aljawarneh (Program Chair for Nursing and Midwifery, Higher Colleges of Technology), Khaled Al Qawasmeh (Chair, SEHA Nursing Research and EBP Committee; Vice President, Emirates Oncology/Hematology Nursing Society), Asma Nasser Alblooshi (Chair, Oncology/Hematology Nurses Society), Ancy Thomas (Clinical Resource Nurse, Tawam Hospital) and Dr. Snithin (Co-Chair, SEHA Audiology Advisory Committee).
The scientific programme covers clinical updates, leadership development, research excellence and interdisciplinary best practice. The site shows approval logos from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the Certification Board of Infection Control (CBIC). CME certificates are issued after the event through the TAMM portal and reflect the sessions actually attended, based on badge scanning; the total number of hours is not published on the main page, and registration fees are not shown there.
Registration and full programme details are on the official SINMAC website.
