    About this event

Nursing Affairs at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH&RC) invites nurses from across the Kingdom and around the world to the 11th Global Nursing Conference 2026, held under the theme "Firm Foundations: New Frontiers". The conference brings together international nursing leaders, clinicians, educators, researchers and strategic partners to shape the future of nursing practice, leadership, education and innovation, and it is deliberately positioned to place the Middle East — and KFSH&RC in particular — at the centre of international nursing conversation.

The event is organised in two phases. Phase 1 consists of pre-conference workshops held from 8 to 10 November 2026, 08:00–17:00, at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh; these workshops require separate registration. Phase 2 is the main conference on 11 and 12 November 2026, 08:00–17:00, at the InterContinental Riyadh, combining keynote addresses, plenary sessions, leadership dialogue, panel discussions and oral and poster presentations drawn from the abstract programme.

The scientific programme is built around three sub-themes published by the conference scientific committee. The first, Transformational Nursing Leadership and the Future of Practice, addresses strategic nursing leadership, policy influence, digital and data transformation, and the redefinition of nursing roles to meet national and global healthcare priorities. The second, Excellence, Innovation and Evidence-Driven Nursing Practice, focuses on high-reliability care delivered through evidence-based practice, research impact and innovation that produces measurable outcomes. The third, A Sustainable and Engaged Nursing Workforce for Exceptional Patient Experience, covers the development of a healthy, skilled and future-ready workforce able to deliver an outstanding experience for patients and families.

Stated objectives for the meeting include elevating the global profile of nursing, positioning the Middle East and KFSH&RC within international nursing conversations, creating opportunities for collaboration and shared learning, strengthening professional and academic networks, supporting workforce development and specialty practice growth, and encouraging innovation and evidence-based practice.

Abstracts are welcomed under any of the three sub-themes and are submitted through an online form, with a 2,000-character limit and a structured format covering background, objectives, methods, results and conclusion. Authors may choose oral presentation, poster presentation, or either. The published submission timeline runs from opening on 1 September 2026, with an early-bird registration deadline of 17 September 2026, submission closing on 1 October 2026, peer review from 4 to 7 October, notification of outcome on 8 October, a presenter registration deadline of 15 October, and release of the full programme and schedule on 1 November 2026. The scientific committee is chaired by Joanne Cooper with Fatmah Fallatah as co-chair.

Registration for the main conference is handled through the KFSH&RC Motamarat events platform, and Nursing Affairs can be reached on 011 464 7272 (ext. 43175) or at intlsy@kfshrc.edu.sa for further information.
