The Saudi International Conference on Excellence in Nursing Care returns for its 3rd edition from 20 to 22 September 2026 at the Mövenpick Hotel, Riyadh, held in collaboration with the Saudi Nurses Association under the theme "Advancing Nursing Excellence in Saudi Arabia".
The conference is held under the gracious patronage of His Excellency Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajil, Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and is expected to gather more than 1,000 attendees, 50+ expert speakers and 20+ sessions with participants from more than 20 countries.
The meeting brings together nursing professionals, healthcare leaders, researchers, educators and policymakers from Saudi Arabia and around the world to showcase the latest developments, evidence-based practices, innovative research and emerging trends in nursing. Participants gain insights from leading national and international experts addressing key topics in nursing practice, education, leadership and healthcare delivery.
The scientific programme features discussions on nursing innovation, healthcare technologies, patient-centred care, workforce development, and strategies supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 healthcare transformation. Interactive workshops run alongside the plenary and concurrent sessions, providing practical knowledge and skills that can be applied directly in clinical and professional settings.
Conference chair Dr. Mohammed Alghamdi frames the meeting as a dynamic platform for collaboration, innovation and knowledge exchange, bringing local and international expertise together to address the evolving challenges facing healthcare systems — with nurses positioned at the forefront of delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care while driving leadership and excellence across all levels of healthcare services.
The full speaker lineup is being finalised by the organisers, who publish names, titles and session details only once each participation is officially confirmed. The detailed schedule and programme are published on the official conference website, which is available in both English and Arabic.
Target audience: registered nurses across all specialties, nurse managers and directors of nursing, nurse educators and academics, nursing students and interns, nurse researchers, quality and patient-safety professionals, and healthcare leaders and policymakers involved in nursing workforce development.
As one of the largest dedicated nursing meetings in the Kingdom, and one held in direct collaboration with the Saudi Nurses Association and under Ministry of Health patronage, the conference is particularly relevant to nurses in Riyadh and across Saudi Arabia looking for high-quality professional development close to home. Registration is open through the official conference website; the conference secretariat can be reached at info@sna-nursingexcellence.com.
