    Goals:

    • Describe the basic principles, anatomy and circulation of the fetal heart.
    • Identify indications for fetal cardiac assessment within routine and targeted obstetric ultrasound.
    • Explain the standard planes used in basic fetal cardiac screening (four-chamber view, outflow tracts, three-vessel view).
    • Discuss common congenital heart defects.
    • Demonstrate proper probe handling, orientation, and optimization techniques on the simulator.
    • Obtain accurate basic fetal cardiac scan using simulation models.

    Target Audience: Obstetricians and gynecologists, Maternal-fetal medicine specialists, Radiologists, Sonographers, Residents and trainees in obstetrics, gynecology or radiology.
