The 2nd Red Sea Pharmacy Symposium (also announced as the 2nd Red Sea Pharmacy Conference, RSPC) is organised by the Pharmaceutical Care Division and the Continuing Medical Education Department of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) – Jeddah. It takes place on 4–5 November 2026 at the Hilton Hotel Jeddah, Main Hall, on the Corniche.
The symposium aims to enhance the competencies of pharmacists and healthcare professionals in delivering value-based, patient-centred, technology-enabled, stewardship-focused and safety-driven pharmacy practice, aligned with healthcare transformation initiatives. Conference themes include optimising operational frameworks to reduce resource-related harm, reimbursement models for value-based pharmaceutical care, advanced clinical pharmacy interventions for patient safety, interprofessional safety culture in medication management, pharmacy's role in population health, and integrating translational research and clinical-trial outcomes into everyday practice.
Learning objectives: apply artificial intelligence and digital health tools to daily pharmacy workflows; integrate the patient voice and patient-reported outcomes into decision-making across oncology, transplant and chronic care; evaluate pharmacy interventions with value-based measures linking cost, quality and outcomes; apply stewardship principles across antimicrobials, anticoagulants, fluids and pain management; analyse complex cases in haematopoietic cell transplant, cardiology, internal medicine, critical care and infectious disease; and implement quality and patient-safety strategies including JCI requirements, medication-error learning and human-factors principles.
Schedule: symposium on 4 November (08:00–14:30) and 5 November (08:00–16:00). Four parallel workshops run on 4 November from 14:45 to 17:30 (25 seats each; one workshop per attendee):
