DUPHAT — the Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technologies Conference and Exhibition — returns for its 32nd edition from 30 March to 1 April 2027 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The dates were announced by the organisers, INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions Organisation, immediately after the close of the 31st edition in August 2026, and the move to a spring slot is confirmed on the official DUPHAT website, which projects more than 31,000 professional visitors and over 1,300 pharmaceutical brands.
DUPHAT is the largest pharmaceutical event in the Middle East and Africa and runs as two linked halves. The exhibition fills multiple halls at DWTC with manufacturers, generic and branded suppliers, distributors, contract manufacturers, packaging and cold-chain providers, pharmacy automation vendors and nutraceutical companies, organised into dedicated zones such as Pharma, ParaPharma, VitaShow and DUPHAT Tech. It is a working sourcing event: pharmacy chain buyers, hospital procurement teams, regulators and distributors across the GCC and Africa use it to negotiate supply agreements for the year ahead, and it is held under the support of the Emirates Drug Establishment and the Dubai Health Authority.
The parallel scientific and professional conference runs across simultaneous tracks — typically two conference halls plus a Pharma Industry Talk stream — and is aimed squarely at practising pharmacists. Recent programmes have covered clinical pharmacy services and prescribing roles, antimicrobial stewardship, medication safety and error reduction, pharmacovigilance, oncology and critical care pharmacy, pharmacogenomics, generic drug policy and pricing, pharmaceutical supply-chain resilience, local manufacturing and regional healthcare localisation strategy. Speakers combine regional practitioners such as Dr Vala Barzinji, Senior Specialist Pharmacist at Dubai Health, with international policy figures including Prof. Peter J. Pitts, President of the Center for Medicine in the Public Interest. Poster sessions and scientific activity tracks give practising pharmacists and students a route to present audit and research work.
For Saudi and Gulf pharmacists, DUPHAT is one of the few events that combines CPD-relevant clinical content with direct access to suppliers and regulators in a single three-day trip. At the time of listing, the dedicated 2027 programme microsite, speaker roster, accreditation details and sponsor list had not yet been published; registration and stand booking pages are live on duphat.ae and will be updated for the 2027 cycle.
