In 2026, the flagship event returns to Manchester Central for an in-person conference.
This year's conference theme — 'Staying Alive?' — celebrates successes in managing cardiovascular disease while also exploring areas where progress is needed. The programme asks whether the field now needs to move beyond merely staying alive to explore other treatment targets for patient benefit.
The conference features a comprehensive programme including plenary sessions, parallel symposia, abstract presentations, and hands-on workshops. Add-on courses include Allyship Training, a Cardiology Escape Room, CLEMS (Cardiac Laboratory Emergency Medical Simulation), CTCA Level 1, Lifelong Learning interactive sessions, Introduction to Nuclear Cardiology, and Obstetric Cardiology Emergencies simulation courses.

The event is chaired by Professor Andrew Clark and led by BCS President Professor André Ng.
