Deep Dive 2026 is the new edition of the established family medicine conference series, organised with the Saudi Society of Family and Community Medicine and chaired by Dr. Rasha Marshad Alawwad (Family Medicine Consultant, Eastern Health Cluster). It takes place on 7–8 December 2026 at Le Méridien Al Khobar on the Corniche, with a parallel online live-stream option, and expects more than 500 attendees and 33+ speakers.
The two-day scientific program is built around the daily realities of family medicine practice. Day one covers emergency and urgent care in primary care, chronic disease (weekly insulin and new diabetes therapies, obesity beyond GLP-1, dyslipidemia, hypertension, heart failure, and a debate on weight-loss medication overuse), women's health, palliative care, preventive medicine and lifestyle medicine. Day two turns to mental health, geriatrics, dermatology, pediatrics, career and professional development, sleep medicine, sports medicine, iron deficiency anemia, and a closing look at the future of family medicine including practical AI use. Two slots are reserved for sponsored scientific sessions.
Four hands-on workshops are planned with limited seats: AI in Practice, Beyond the Checklist: Advanced Communication Skills, Essential Women's Health Procedures, and Sports Medicine Essentials. Dates, instructors and fees are to be announced.
The Research Committee invites abstracts for the digital poster session; submissions close 15 November 2026 and decisions are emailed on 20 November 2026. Accepted types: original research, quality improvement, clinical audit, case reports/series, systematic and scoping reviews.
Early-bird registration is open until 30 November 2026: in-person SAR 420 physicians / 240 residents / 120 students; online live-stream SAR 240/120/90. Prices include 15% VAT. CME hours are under process per the organiser.
