AHEKON 2026, the 16th edition of what the organisers describe as Türkiye's most prestigious and most comprehensive family medicine congress, runs from 28 October to 1 November 2026 at the Kremlin Palace in Antalya.
The congress has become the annual fixture the Turkish family medicine community looks forward to, and the 16th-anniversary edition is built to be one of the most memorable so far — in richness of content, in social programme and in the breadth of its delegate profile. The organisers' stated intention is that colleagues will share the knowledge and experience that will carry the field of family medicine forward, and will renew the sense of solidarity and professional development that has characterised previous editions.
The programme addresses not only the practice of family medicine today but the applications that will define it in the future. Sessions cover chronic disease management in primary care — diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, obesity — alongside preventive medicine and screening, immunisation, maternal and child health in the primary care setting, mental health in general practice, geriatric care, rational prescribing and antimicrobial stewardship, and the practical management of the family medicine unit itself. Digital health, remote consultation and the changing structure of primary care delivery in Türkiye form a recurring strand.
Courses and workshops run alongside the main hall for practical skills, and abstract submission is open through the congress site with accepted work presented within the scientific programme.
Registration, accommodation and sponsorship information are published on the official AHEKON website, together with the boards, the programme, general information and archives from previous AHEKON congresses including the 2025 abstract book and attendance certificates.
The five-day Antalya format, spanning a public holiday weekend, is designed to allow family physicians to attend without prolonged absence from their practices.
