EASL Congress 2027, organised by the European Association for the Study of the Liver, takes place from 16 to 19 June 2027 in London, United Kingdom, with online access available alongside the in-person meeting. EASL Congress is Europe's largest event dedicated to liver health, bringing together doctors, scientists, allied health professionals, patients and industry partners to exchange knowledge and best practice, present research breakthroughs and build lasting professional connections.
Across four days the congress delivers a rich programme covering all tracks of hepatology, with a deliberately diverse mix of session formats so that delegates can tailor their experience — from late-breaking clinical trial results and basic science symposia through to practical clinical updates, postgraduate courses and hands-on skills teaching. EASL has published the full 2027 timeline. Abstract submission and registration open on 29 September 2026. The early fee deadline is 13 January 2027 and the abstract submission deadline is 19 January 2027, with abstract notifications issued on 6 April 2027. Late breaker submission opens on 7 April 2027 — the same date as the standard fee deadline — and closes on 20 April 2027. Live registration fees open on 16 June 2027, the first congress day.
The association also runs SCOPE (Surveying Community Opinions for Programme Excellence), a systematic needs-assessment process that invites hepatologists, scientists, nurses, allied health professionals, public health professionals and patient representatives to shape the scientific and educational programme, so that congress content reflects the real learning needs of the liver community.
