The Saudi General Surgery Society (SGSS) hosts the 17th SGSS Congress, held jointly with the 2nd Gulf General Surgery Societies Conference and the 4th Annual Surgical Scientific Day, from 6–8 November 2026 at the Hilton Hotel, Jeddah. This edition marks the Silver Jubilee (25 years) of the Saudi General Surgery Society.
Congress theme
"Surgical Education: Shaping the Next Generation of Surgeons" — the programme explores how surgery advances through what one generation passes to the next, and how training, mentorship, and education must evolve as tools, techniques, and patient expectations change.

On behalf of the Saudi General Surgery Society, it is my honor to welcome you to the 17th SGSS Congress. Over three days, we will bring together leading surgeons, educators, trainees, and partners from across the Kingdom, the Gulf, and beyond to exchange ideas, share evidence, and strengthen the bonds that make our regional surgical community stronger.

Call for Abstracts — 4th Annual Surgical Scientific Day
The co-located 4th Annual Surgical Scientific Day is themed "Bridging the art of surgery with the science of discovery". Abstract submission is open to medical students, interns, residents, specialists, and academic staff. Prizes are awarded for the best oral and poster presentations.
