About this event

A two-day in-person course on advanced principles and practice of perioperative nursing, organized by the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (MNGHA) and KSAU-HS Deanship of Postgraduate Education (CPD). 24–25 June 2026 at KSAU-HS, AD Building, Classroom 499, Alahsa. Fee: 230 SAR (incl. VAT); MNGHA staff free (contact Ms. Abtisam Al Somaeel — ext. 33161/33162, pager 3385, ismaile@mngha.med.sa). CME accreditation under process (SCFHS). Objectives include: overview of perioperative nursing; patient safety and risk management; sharp safety and bloodborne pathogens; responding to exposure; nursing management for latex allergy; types of anesthesia machines and gasses; surgical pharmacology; nursing care pain management; malignant hyperthermia; prevention of perioperative peripheral neuropathies; risk for perioperative position injury; perioperative nursing consideration; risk factors for pulmonary aspiration; critical thinking; and post-operative patient care and management.
