The International Surgical Pathology Conference 2027 (ISPC 2027), held as the 37th Congress of the International Academy of Pathology (IAP) – Arab Division, takes place from 14 to 17 January 2027 at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Conference Centre in the United Arab Emirates. It is hosted by the National Reference Laboratory (NRL) in partnership with IAP Arab Division.
The organisers describe this as an extraordinary time for surgical pathology. Precision medicine, molecular and predictive diagnostics, digital pathology and artificial intelligence are changing the field and putting pathology at the centre of personalised care. Still, morphology, diagnostic judgement and clinicopathologic correlation remain just as important. The conference aims to combine the best of traditional diagnostic pathology with the technologies that will shape its future.
An international faculty of well-known pathologists from leading academic and clinical institutions will cover diagnostic excellence, evolving classifications, precision oncology, predictive biomarkers, molecular pathology, digital pathology and AI. The format includes lectures, interactive discussions, workshops and case-based sessions, all designed to turn new advances into everyday diagnostic practice.
The meeting is also a place for regional and international pathologists to share knowledge and build collaborations. Trainees and young pathologists are strongly encouraged to attend, present their work and meet international experts. Abstract submission is open. CME accreditation is under approval by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi.
