Overview
The 18th Asia Oceania Congress of Nuclear Medicine and Biology (AOCNMB), held jointly with the 3rd International Conference of the Saudi Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SSNMMI), comes to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 4–6 December 2026 at The Venue Hotel.
AOCNMB is the flagship triennial congress of the Asia Oceania Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology (AOFNMB), bringing together physicians, scientists, technologists and industry from across Asia, Oceania and the Middle East. Hosting it alongside the SSNMMI international conference makes this the largest nuclear medicine and molecular imaging gathering ever staged in the Kingdom, and a landmark moment for the specialty in the Gulf region.
Scientific focus
The congress programme is being built around the fastest-moving areas of the field:
- Nuclear medicine advances — diagnostic imaging protocols, hybrid PET/CT and PET/MR, and quantitative imaging
- Molecular imaging updates — new tracers, imaging biomarkers and translational research
- Precision theranostics — Lu-177 PSMA and DOTATATE therapy, dosimetry, and patient selection pathways
- Novel radiopharmaceuticals — production, radiopharmacy practice, quality control and regulatory considerations
- Clinical best practice and multidisciplinary care — oncology, cardiology, neurology and endocrine applications, with an emphasis on improving patient outcomes
Sessions will combine plenary lectures from internationally renowned faculty with focused clinical symposia, research presentations and an industry exhibition showcasing imaging systems, radiopharmaceuticals and theranostic services.
Who should attend
The congress is designed for nuclear medicine physicians, nuclear medicine technologists, medical physicists, radiopharmacists, radiologists, radiographers, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, cardiologists, neurologists, endocrinologists, surgeons, nurses and medical and healthcare students with an interest in molecular imaging and theranostics.
CME accreditation
Accredited CME hours will be available; the organisers have confirmed that the total number of hours and the accrediting details will be announced once official accreditation is issued.
